Marion Woodman


Marion Woodman, born August 15, 1928, is a Canadian mythopoetic author and women's movement figure. She is an Jungian analyst, Ph.D., trained at the Jung Institute in Zrich, Switzerland. She is one of the most widely read authors on feminine psychology, focusing on psyche and soma. Her books include The Owl Was a Baker's Daughter; Addiction to Perfection; and The Pregnant Virgin. She's also written an account of her recovery from cancer, Bone: Dying Into Life. &8232;&8232;Most recently, Woodman has released a CD entitled Crown of Age. She is also an international lecturer and poet. Her collection of audio and visual lectures, correspondence, and manuscripts are housed at OPUS Archives and Research Center, in Santa Barbara, California. Among her collaborations with other authors she has written with Thomas Moore, Jill Mellick and Robert Bly.
