Gary Hubbell

Gary’s decades-long study and support of philanthropy is the source of his current work on the broad topic of leadership. He says in philanthropy we study the source—the love of humankind—which manifests in personal contribution for the benefit of others; acting on behalf of something bigger than self. The same is true of leadership. If we view each person—employed staff and volunteer—as someone who desires more than anything else to contribute the best of who they are to something bigger and more important than themselves…then we approach our relationship, development, and support of those people very differently. Teaching that subtle difference is the essence of Gary’s work. Moreso, I know it to be his passion.
