Garret Yount Ph.D.
Garret Yount, PhD, is a molecular neurobiologist dedicated to applying rigorous scientific methods to explore consciousness and the non-material mind. He was among the first scientists to receive a Research Project Grant from the U.S. National Institutes of Health to investigate qigong and other healing modalities involving the human biofield.
Dr. Yount has led meticulously controlled laboratory experiments with spiritual healers and biofield practitioners from across the globe, including the U.S., China, Brazil, Canada, Japan, India, Russia, Hungary, and Sri Lanka. His innovative research spans diverse experimental models—from observing the effects of distant healing intention on cultured human brain cells to studying the impact of Expressive Arts Therapy on hospitalized children.
His work has been featured in Dean Radin's Entangled Minds and dramatized in Dan Brown’s bestselling novel, The Lost Symbol. Dr. Yount is also the author of Why Vibes Matter.
