Dr. Bonnie Henry
DR. Bonnie Henry is a public health physician, a preventive medicine specialist, and an epidemiologist whose work focuses on the prevention and control of infectious diseases around the world. In recent years, Dr. Henry was a Senior Consultant to the World Health Organization WHO during the Ebola outbreak in Uganda, a consultant to the WHO on the STOP Polio program in Pakistan, the Associate Medical Officer of Health for the City of Toronto during the SARS outbreak, and is one of the public health leads on the H1N1 swine influenza outbreak in British Columbia.
She has consulted on infectious disease issues in countries around the world, appears regularly in the media as an expert on disease outbreaks, conducts speaking engagements throughout the U.S. and Canada, and has been published in many medical journals. She lives in Vancouver, B.C.
